Signature Series
D-GS - George Shuffler
D-JAS - James Alan Shelton

Signature Models
We, at HDGC, are very proud of our association with two of the finest traditional flat pickers of the last two generations,
George Shuffler and James Alan Shelton. We are producing a limited run of 25 each of these signature
models,
designed and played by George and James.
George wrote the book on the cross-pick style of flat picking and made it famous with his work with our favorite all time bluegrass band,
the Stanley Brothers. George continues to be active as a picker doing guest appearances with
many of the current crop of fine "bluegrassers",
as well as doing workshops, videos, and recordings. His latest CD "The Legend Continues" is a shop favorite.
George's partner on this CD is James Alan Shelton.
James is continuing the cross-pick style, blended with his own super clean flat pick style as lead guitar player with
Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys. We built James a custom TD-R several years ago,
and it has replaced
his Old Herringbone as his main guitar.
And now, we've built a signature model that will accompany him on his travels as well.
These 50 guitars will be very special instruments in every respect to the proud owners,
as well as to us, and to George and James. We've described the specs for each and included photos below.

James Alan Shelton - D-JAS "Shelton"

The D-JAS "James Alan Shelton"
This is James' own version of our popular traditional Rosewood flat-top, the TD-R.
This is an exact copy of the guitar James had us build for him several years ago with his personal touches including his own
comfortable "V" shaped neck
and his preferred set up. Honduran Rosewood is used for back and side woods with Sitka Spruce top wood.
It has James' signature cut in Abalone
at the 15th fret position
and a brass plate inside denoting the number of each guitar in the series of 25.
